Lancaster Arts Hotel is situated in the heart of downtown, Lancaster Arts Hotel features deluxe accommodations with unique surroundings. All of the rooms, from the lobby to the suites, are filled with original works of art, especially that of local Pennsylvania artists. History. On 1 September 1881, Thomas E. Franklin of Lancaster sold the lot of 300 Harrisburg Avenue to Arnold Falk, of New York, for $1400. Mr. Falk proceeded to build a 3 ½-story double warehouse measuring 64 feet and 4 ½ inches by 245 feet, half of which he sold three months later to Albert S. Rosenbaum, also of New York. The property was divided down the center by a party wall and was occupied by G. Falk and Bro. and A.S. Rosenbaum Tobacco Warehouse. Sometime afterward, the buildings were combined under one deed and single ownership, becoming the Falk and Rosenbaum Tobacco Warehouse. Thereafter, the building was used for tobacco storage by at least three other companies until circa 1945. Over the next forty years, the building was occupied by a wholesale paper and twine business, presumably United Paper and Twine, and then used for storage by various companies, including an electronics business. It is one of four buildings still standing from what had been a collection of eight warehouses. As a member of Historic Hotels of America, the Arts Hotel proudly embraces its historic roots not only in our building, but in our city, the oldest inland city in the Country.

Club Guestrooms The Lancaster Arts Hotel Club rooms include all the amenities of our Studio guestrooms plus a sofa bed for relaxing during the day. The pull out sofa twin size bed can accommodate more guests. These rooms also include a princess balcony & are in the non-historic wing of our hotel.

Suites
Choose from three different suite styles, (Loft Suite, Arts Suite or Presidential) some all with whirlpool jet spa tubs. These luxury rooms are furnished with king-sized beds and desks equipped with ergonomic chairs. Some suites will have a kitchenette area, perfect for any extended stay. For those who particularly love to surround themselves in fine art, several suites have been “adopted” by local artists as showcases for their work.

The Suk Shuglie and Demuth Presidential Suites
Over 700 square feet of pure luxury. These suites feature a large living room equipped with a queen sized pull-out bed and kitchenette. The finely furnished bedroom area boasts a relaxing whirlpool jet spa tub. Charles Demuth is arguably the most recognizable artist to make his way through Lancaster, having graduated from the neighboring Franklin and Marshall College. He resided in what is considered to be the one of oldest homes in Lancaster, now the Demuth Musuem. Be sure to visit the garden that provided him with endless inspiration.

Lancaster Arts Hotel has an onsite, exquisite restaurant, John J. Jeffries, named after a tobacco inspector that was here in 1890. A ticket bearing his signature was found as the building was being renovated. With a belief in supporting local farms and organic ingredients, they work with farmers within a 25-mile radius of the hotel. Two items featured on their menu for example, are locally made cheeses and locally raised buffalo. Situated off the lobby of the Lancaster Arts Hotel, the converted brick tobacco warehouse offers a hip, sophisticated atmosphere for John J. Jeffries that welcomes small groups or couples celebrating a night on the town.

At Lancaster Arts Hotel, you’ll find unique meeting and event space that is sure to wow your guests. This exceptional facility is ideal for a number of different kinds of uses, from corporate meetings to family reunions to intimate wedding banquets like rehearsal dinners. The Art Gallery Board Room, located to the left off the lobby is 356 square feet and can easily accommodate up to 20 people in a boardroom style setting.
